Vouga Ilhavo
At the beginning of the 20th century, with the advent of travel literature and cinema, the desire to enjoy the beauty of the estuary intensified, exploring, on walks, the most hidden and unknown coves and estuaries.
The absence at the time of a small recreational vessel in the lagoon space, combined with the high demand for such a means of transport, culminated in the emergence of from Vouga. This emblematic vessel was designed by master António Gordinho in the 1920s, meeting the growing demand of ria enthusiasts.

Vouga Ovar
In Ovar, in the 1950s, a new type of vessel naturally emerged, commissioned by the Ovarian industrialist Francisco Ramada from master António Gordinho. Francisco Ramada, a lover of the estuary and its landscapes, was traveling with his family and friends, from Ovar to São Jacinto, and needed a suitable boat for the small cruise. Thus, a 9 meter long vessel was designed, with a single mast and a glass cabin, which quickly inspired other people from Ovar to adopt the same model for this new activity, as the existing “Andorinha” did not fully respond to this new function, the family and group tour of the Ria.
